The "Act of Doing" IS the Perfection we Think we Have to Have
We modern humans have this notion that things have to be "perfect". "On paper it needs to all be the same" kind of mentality. Or if we do something differently in another set it may "magically throw the body for a loop" or something. This is a common mindset; if it's not done in a particular way it won't count or it'll do something "all of a sudden" to us. The REALITY is, the ACT OF DOING something (to me) IS the perfection we think we have to have.

Client Story: The Starbucks CHOICE
An important element of our nutrition that we RARELY factor in is our "likes and dislikes", "willing to do's and won't do's". THESE ARE CRUCIAL to figuring out your next steps. Also crucial is what the client WANTS in regards to her health, lifestyle and wellbeing.

We are VERY GOOD at Overlooking our Choices
It's a post to remind us that sometimes OUR OWN CHOICES can add stress to our days; when we CAN CHOOSE another option. We have the CHOICE to change it . We CAN control it. The question is; How often DO WE?

How you can do 200 Pushups in 3 Weeks by Embracing Small Daily Habits
Ok, let's get right to this... Disclaimer: You don't "have" to do pushups. You don't "have" to do this number. Read on to see what 'Coach D' is going on about now 😂 The point of sharing this post is to REITERATE the absolute AWESOMENESS of "Tiny Habits" (as BJ Fogg calls them) or using the approach of Strength Coach, Dan John; "Little and often". It's also to share how it can make you FEEL and how it can move you from NOTHING to SOMETHING with little to no energy or thou

Change in and of itself is NOT scary
In health and wellness, more often than not we talk about change. Change, at first, seems scary. Understandably so. However, it's NOT CHANGE that's scary... The "scary" part for most of us when it comes to change, is the UNKNOWN . As individuals, we WANT the change - especially in positive ways for our health. The UNKNOWN however ( like the effort, time and energy that we need to put into creating change ) is the "scary part". It's unfortunate how often this holds (too ma

Resistance IS Inevitable
It may feel like you've hit a wall at times with your health goals, but 99% of the time it's just a natural "eb and flow" happening. A "speed bump" on your path if you will. In understanding this (like REALLY understanding it - not just saying "I know, I know") you can help avoid that "all or nothing", "on or off the wagon" mentality, while at the same time realizing you're doing just fine! 🙂 Resistance is where MOST people fail I struggle using the word "fail" in health,
