A Poem to Inspire: Quiet Victories

Quiet Victories

by Jessica Kate

You won't see trophies on my shelf,

But I've fought battles with myself.

Got out of bed when I was low,

And smiled when I had pain to show.

I didn't post, I didn't scream -

But pushed through every fading dream.

Each time I cried, but chose to stand -

Was strength that no one understands.

So if you ask what shaped me so -

It's things you'll never even know.

The quiet wins, the daily fight -

That built my fire out of night.

To me this reminds us that EVERYONE has his/her own story and experiences. EVERYONE has their OWN life happening in different ways. And that's TOTALLY okay! It reminds us that we don't need to boast or share every waking detail of our life, but we can continue to build strength, resilience and wisdom through our experiences and our actions as time goes on.

I feel it also reminds us that we are much stronger than we give ourselves credit for.
