Why not try REMOVING instead of Adding?

The modern way of living is crushing so many of us. We're over-scheduling, over-committing and over-working, while under-committing to ourselves and our wellbeing (and just living for that matter). We're exhausted, stressed and overwhelmed.
Why ADD more in that case?
Human beings do NOT have infinite energy. We can only do so much. THAT FACT is very important to understand as the first step in being able to manage your time and energy well, for the sake of your health and longevity.
The modern human, even after decades of increasingly busy lifestyles and responsibilities, continuously approach health with the mindset of MORE...
"I need to exercise MORE"
"I need to eat MORE 'healthy' foods"
"I need to sleep MORE"
"I need to get MORE done"
... and so on. How's that working for you? It's not a question that's meant to be sarcastic; this is a VERY real and necessary question to ask YOURSELF! Most of us will agree, it's only ADDING to our exhaustion, feeling like we have "no time" and feeling like we're running on fumes just to make it to the time of day we can get out of work.
*That's not LIVING - That's exhausting yourself, while simply SURVIVING.
What can YOU REMOVE?
Instead of coming at your health from an angle of "have to do's", "should do's" and ADDING more to your already overflowing plate, reverse the question: What can I REMOVE from my day to guide me toward the health I'm looking for?
This approach almost magically will create MORE time in your day, LESS stress and LESS on your plate!
TAKE AWAY habits that ARE NOT serving YOU and YOUR wellbeing.
TAKE AWAY events/places to be/commitments in your weeks by saying 'NO' to some.
TAKE AWAY time spent scrolling social media or binging a show.
TAKE AWAY time spent with people who DRAIN you / bring drama.
TAKE AWAY a bit of time on screens leading up to bed time.
TAKE AWAY your morning Timmy's stop on the way to work.
... You get the idea. 🙂
As we elude to in this Zen Quickie post; Humans are creatures of habit. We can create and also stop habits by REMOVING rather than ADDING more. Most of us in this day and age DO NOT need MORE - We NEED LESS!!
