Client Story: Absolute Awesome Inspiration

Prior to Christmas again this year, I did the second annual "Christmas Challenge" with my coaching clients. This challenge offers a few days of easy challenges to allow the client to be entered into the draw at the end for typically some discounted sessions to start the new year.
The challenges surround the theme of slowing down and focusing. One challenge this year was; How many staff are a part of our ZenTribe team here at the studio, their names and what do they do here? That kind of thing.
My first challenge, as I did last year, was aimed to get clients to check out the Zen Blog and to share which post has been the most impactful for them this year. I asked my client, Sarah if I could share her reply to me because it was absolutely awesome. She said "no problem". 🙂
"I really relate to the "a day in the life poem". You never know when your time is up. I never thought I would be staring death in the face at 47. I always thought that it would never happen to me. 'Cancer doesn't run in my family', I would say to myself. Then my mom got it, and then my dad a year later, and then it was my turn. When you are faced with a life ending disease, you look at life differently. After my diagnosis, I would reflect on what I did with my life. Was it enough? I realized that I was always looking after everyone else and didn't take the time for me.
I now have a balanced work/life ratio. I take time out of my day for me so that I am able to take care of others. I enjoy the little moments and lock them into my memory, because life is not always about the big picture. I take everyday as a blessing. I fought an won this round. Onto the next chapter in my life."

Can you say, INSPIRING!?!?!
Print this out! Put it on your desk, night stand or fridge. Somewhere you can't miss it. Read Sarah's words every day. When you "don't feel like" taking care of your health, having that cup of coffee with a friend or when you're going on your seventh, 10+ hour work day of the week - Think of Sarah's inspiring message.
When I asked her if I could share this here, she agreed and said she just wrote it. She didn't do it to be inspiring or anything, she just wrote from the heart. These incredibly powerful words can serve as a reminder to all of us, that the simplest things in life (like speaking from the heart and following our heart) can create the most amazing life.
