"A Harsh Truth"

"Harsh truth: You’re not seeing the results you want because you haven’t been consistent enough. And if you haven’t been consistent enough, you can’t complain about the results you didn’t get from the work you didn’t do. Before you try a new method, track a new metric, or start a new diet and exercise program, take an honest look at your effort."

~ Ian Estabrook (Precision Nutrition L2)

Nailed it! Well said, Ian. 👏👏👏

Precision Nutrition recommends 50-79% consistency. Seriously. Think about those numbers for a minute or two; MOST PEOPLE stress when they miss ONE session, ONE run, or "mess up" ONE day with their eating habits. Then what happens? We think "well I 'failed at that' / 'it doesn't work' (since I wasn't perfect) so I'll find something new that may work"... 🫣

Being CONSISTENT DOES NOT mean being "perfect". The first step is getting THAT belief to gradually get worked out of your mind. The second step is understanding the REALITY of what consistency is.... 👇

Reframe your approach to YOUR health

☮If we put half as much energy into the CONSISTENCY of our health practices as we do into "searching for something new"...

☮If we focus on the BASICS and FOUNDATIONAL health habits above ALL else...

☮If we focus on OURSELF vs what anyone/everyone else is doing...

WE WILL create a healthy lifestyle that makes our deep health smile. 😀
