Health on YOUR Time - Modern Coaching

Lots has changed in our lifetime and continues to rapidly change. I can tell you, over my 25-years and counting in the health and wellness industry, PLENTY has changed. Including HOW coaching can work.


And CHANGE doesn't have to mean "bad".



Let's first look at our modern daily lifestyle and the "traditional" coaching approach:


It's Time Consuming. Both client and coach MUST be in the same place at the same time. In our case at Zenergy Health & Wellness, we run 45min coaching sessions. But a session isn't just 45min is it? For some clients, it's also 20min of travel ONE WAY. That means a 45min session with your coach is ACTUALLY 1hr 25min of your time. Do that twice per week let's say and you have to carve out almost 3hrs of time from your schedule. EVERY week.


Scheduling MUST Align. Since both coach and client need to be in the same place at the same time, this also means their schedules have to align to make that work. But what's a MAJOR FACT in today's modern lifestyle? We're all TOO busy. We have 100 things on the go every single week, and often, EVEN WITH a regular appointment clients can forget or be late (also adding rushing/stress to their day).


"Health" in ONE Place Mindset. "If I hire a coach, he/she will get me to do things I 'won't do' on my own". That's great. Maybe... Temporarily anyway. But that's NOT a sustainable OR realistic approach. The traditional model of show up, "do as your told" and pay for that service you just had creates a mentality of "health" in that ONE place. The problem is, even if you see your coach 2x per week at 45min per session (90min)... What about your health the other 166.5hrs in your week??? With the old model, you're paying for 90min of guidance. That's just about 1% of all the hours in your week. 🫣


What is ASYNCHRONOUS Coaching??


In a nutshell, it flips the script and OPENS DOORS for both coach and client. Let me share a few examples...


FLEXIBLE Timing.  Imagine getting the coaching YOU need, but NOT having a regular appointment to do so. YOU can get to it when YOU'RE READY and ABLE in your day! YOU can message your coach a question, story, update, concern etc and within a previously discussed timeline, you'll have the response waiting for you when you're ready to get to it.


Scheduling is MINIMAL. To continue from the previous point in the timing being flexible, yes with 'asynchronous' coaching there can still be some scheduling that comes up (agreed upon between you and your coach). But it's minimal. Meaning LESS time from YOUR busy days/weeks and LESS risk of scheduling conflicts from both sides. The COACHING itself happens in an on-going format and the scheduled check-in type conversations then become more in-depth and helpful since there's been a flow along the way.


CONSISTENT Health Focus and Support. Rather than your health coaching being compacted into 1.5hrs of your entire week, asynchronous coaching allows the coach and client to be connected as needed. Have a question? Send it to your coach NOW while it's on your mind and while you're focused on your health habits. Your coach will get back to you! Come across something online that you're curious about and whether it's right for you? Connect with your coach and he/she will get back to you with some guidance. There's LESS that you have to (or feel like you have to) leave until you see him/her again. Over the course of the month for example, you've had MORE contact with your coach, MORE guidance and MORE consistency in your habits!!

Because our health should be ANYTHING but a STRESSOR to us...And it certainly shouldn't take away from our ACTUAL LIFE.
