HEALTH is NOT a Competition

Health is NOT a competition OR a comparison.

We are our own worst enemy. And with that I'll ask "How's that working for us!?" Health and taking ACTION on our OWN deep health is NOT an option (unless you WANT to not feel good - to each their own). But taking your health so seriously that it becomes a CHORE and/or STRESSOR IS 100% a choice.


Move away from the marketed intensity and social media worthy exercises, routines or diets and JUST ENJOY yourself with WHATEVER you CHOOSE and HOWEVER you choose to do it!


A client shared with me this week how the one day she put her headphones on while she was working in the garden, and was dancing while she gardened, followed by walking barefoot in the grass around her property. 🥰 Now THAT is HEALTHY!!! We take EVERYTHING in life so seriously. We're "shoulding" ourselves LITERALLY to death and we're "shoulding" others in the process.


STOP. SHIFT GEARS. OPEN your mind. AND STOP TAKING IT SO SERIOUSLY!


☯Laugh during some walks/exercises. Focus more some other times.

☯Eat in a way that makes you feel physically and mentally good. Sometimes, eat some stuff that makes you feel a bit like poo - but man it tastes good!

☯Sometimes move until you sweat. Other times, don't.

☯Sometimes try a new meal or recipe. Other times, have your go-to comfort food/meal.

☯Get to sleep at a decent hour most nights. Other nights, binge another show and stay up a bit later.

☯Sometimes try a new activity or hobby to explore - you never know what you may fall in love with.


You get it. 🙂

TRY that approach for a while and watch your consistency change for the better. Less pressure, more enjoyment and less stress attached to your well-being is a recipe for one healthy human being!
