  1. Ask YOUrself what YOU ARE doing to feel better. What ARE you doing to create the change you're seeking? If your answer to this question is "nothing", your FIRST IMMEDIATE go-to for positive change is TRY SOMETHING.


  1. CHANGE the way YOU talk.  This means changing the way you not only talk to others about YOUrself, but also how you talk TO YOURSELF EVERY... SINGLE... DAY... ALL DAY. The more you talk about pain, discomfort, frustrations, stressors etc... The more YOU live that exact reality. SHIFT your narrative. It doesn't have to be "flowers and rainbows", but it CAN BE a re-focused dialogue. Instead of "I can't do 'x'" or "My 'y' hurts every day all the time", change your approach to; "My 'y' is hurting but I'm doing 'x' to help it" or "I can't do 'x' yet, but I'm working on it so it gets easier".


  2.  DO something that YOU CAN do, even on the "worst days". We're always approaching health with our "ideal future self" in mind. Like the world runs smoothly and nothing will stand in our way. Not a bad idea, but it's also far from realistic. Life happens. Instead of starting and acting on all the wonderful things you can make happen on your BEST days, aim for what you CAN make happen on the BUSIEST, MOST STRESSFUL DAYS. And do it EVERY DAY. Build from THERE.


  3. SEEK help specific to YOU. When you're in the "thick of things" it's nearly impossible to see things clearly. We ALL need help, guidance and support sometimes. STOP searching for YOUR answers through random algorithms that pop up in your face every day and START seeking MEANINGFUL answers that focus on YOU and YOUR HEALTH. Hire a Health & Wellness Coach, a Nutritionist/Dietitian, a Physio, a Chiropractor... SEEK help and clarity.

  4. PAUSE. Pause doesn't mean do nothing per say. Pause DOES MEAN, stop to REFLECT about what you ARE doing and HOW it's serving you. Pause also means PAUSING your "search" in favour of ACTION. Stopping the HABIT of gathering information in favour of DOING something for YOURSELF. Pausing from the "rush" of our modern lifestyle so YOU can SELF-EXPERIMENT.


DOING even just one or two of these things as a practice will set you apart from the "norm". The "norm" is NOT where we find health. DIFFERENT in this case is a VERY helpful and positive thing.
