Client Story: The most REAL and RAW example of what learning to care for your deep health can bring

I received a message this past week from a client, that just made me smile for so many reasons.
1) She's happy with her progress
2) What she shares here is part of her current goal, yet we're not "directly" focused on it each week
3) It shows that although we don't "see" results right in front of us, if we are doing positive things in our health, nature will do the rest.

I asked her if I could share her story, to which she agreed. Here is the message that I received from her that she sent in our app to update me on the recent awesomeness she experienced:
"Today was a feel good day. We have three work vans we use to take the kids on outings. One is new and two are old. I haven't used the old ones in about two years. I always make sure to book the new one. That is because I didn't fit in the old ones very well. Having short legs plus being plus size meant that in the older vans the driver's seatbelt was always tight and I would be uncomfortable. I have found that in older cars this is usually the case. Tonight I went to grab the keys for the new van and, surprise, they were gone. It had to go in for maintenance. So my boss said "just take the older one no biggie". Yes no biggie to him, but I immediately started to panic. But I didn't have a choice.
Cut to a few hours later, the girls are in the old van waiting for me. I nervously get in and hold my breath... I fit and I fit comfortably. I was close to the pedals and the seatbelt wasn't tight at all. I tried to hide my eyes but I definitely shed a happy tear. Some days I feel like I've done nothing and haven't made any progress. Then I get sent these little nudges that remind me how far I've come and even though it's been slow and long, the progress is still there. The pace doesn't take away from the milestones I've reached. I hit them and I did it in my own way on my own time.
Today I am thankful the new car was in for maintenance because I came out of today with a roadblock conquered."
This same client shared a while back a similar experience going to the movie theatre with her friend. When she comfortably sat in the seats, she was so excited and so was I as she shared her story.

Society focuses on a number that is on a THING on the floor.
TRUE HEALTH is found in how an individual is able to EXPERIENCE LIFE.
I prefer to coach my clients with the latter in mind and at the forefront of our work together.
Much of what this client and I do week to week, is keep her mentally in check with her habits, her mindset and how she's speaking to herself from the inside out. Helping her see what she IS doing, helping her stay REAL with herself and her body's energy, and keeping her CONSISTENT in being sure HER health is a priority most/all days.
We stay grounded with her "big goal" (a year or so away), but then we keep her in check (together) by focusing on what she can do RIGHT NOW. Today. What habits and practices will step her closer to that big goal. And we keep the focus there. We ALLOW the ebs and flows to happen that naturally comes with our daily lives. Some weeks she does more. Some weeks she does less. Yet EVERY week, SHE is a focus point in her days.
We are so focused on "how we look", in our society, rather than HOW WE FEEL. Yet HOW WE FEEL is what drives health, happiness and energy to do more, experience more and be more. That focus on appearance blinds us to the REALITY of the little things. When a person becomes confident that they can go to a movie theatre or drive a vehicle and simply be comfortable in the seats, it not only eliminates a chronic stressor, it also opens so many doors to energy, excitement and experiences in life BECAUSE they've eliminated a major stressor in their days. That inner voice no longer says "I can't".
THAT is WAY more profound and impactful on someone's life than a number, let me tell ya! Because it's something FELT, rather than a number.
