Client Story: How Health & Wellness Coaching can Change your Approach

This was a wonderfully simple, yet powerful story shared with me recently by a client.


This past weekend was a rainy, cool and gloomy Saturday. She said before 11am she already had her first nap of the day. She was just feeling "blah". A combo of all the gardening and work around the home that week, seasonal allergies, the "blahness" of the weather etc...


She said "I must've taken 15 naps that day". In between naps, she'd snuggle up in her chair and read her a book a bit.



Okay, so what's the catch you ask? What's so "special" about this story?


What's SPECIAL is that she ALLOWED herself this kind of day!!!


🙂 She didn't beat herself up because she "should" be doing something


🙂 She didn't get down on herself because it wasn't what our culture would see as a "productive" day


🙂 She didn't plan ANYTHING. She listened to her body in that moment.


How often do YOU do that? How often do you have an ENTIRE day where you don't much at all except whatever feels RIGHT for YOU that day??


Granted, she shared this wasn't without some mental pep talk to herself, especially at first. Through her time working with Health & Wellness Coaching at Zenergy Health & Wellness, mindset, habits and listening to the body have been hot topics of many of our conversations and coaching sessions. It's another example of how having an open mind, open discussions, consistent effort in her health practices and patience creates simply awesome change.


The more she experiences these days/moments, and ALLOWS herself these times AS NEEDED, the less mental pep talk she'll find she needs.
