Misconceptions of what a Health & Wellness Coach ACTUALLY does
This is NOT meant to be a rant post. This is meant to dispel some misconceptions as to what I and all Health & Wellness Coaches ACTUALLY do to help our clients. Sadly, I know for a fact that these falacies have held people back from seeking the help that will get them "over the hump".

Coaching in Action: Having an Outlet for the "Different" Conversations can bring Positive Change
I am constantly amazed at how the most basic of human foundations, conversation, can create positive change and shifts in your deep health, in your mindset and bring those "ah ha" moments. However, we NEED an outlet to HAVE and SPARK those kinds of conversations. That's what coaching brings.

Client Story: Learn to Listen to YOURSELF

We can say "this is what I need" over and over again. But when we consistently are NOT getting the outcomes we want from this approach, it's time for a new mindset.

Strength Training is a TOOL!
Muscular strength and endurance has a host of benefits to our health and longevity without question! Contrary to what you may think, you don't have to be in a gym pumping iron to create strength (though you can of course) and lifting heavy things does NOT mean you will bulk up like a body builder and not be able to fit through door ways... But this is NOT the topic of this post. Here is what sparked today's post: A client of mine is off to see her daugther in the beautiful

"Ah-Ha" Moments in Fasting
I am two months into experimenting with FASTING more than I ever have in my lifetime. It's a very different mindset than I was ever used to. Growing up as an athlete you constantly think "EAT for FUEL & ENERGY". Right or wrong, that was the mentality; Food = Fuel = Performance The idea of skipping a meal (even if just by placebo) would make me feel crappy if I tried to play a sport with no food! "My tank is empty" would be all I could focus on and/or make myself believe.
