The POWERFUL Thing Most People are NOT Doing

Our modern world is a world of MORE and NOW. We are led to the thinking that doing MORE will result in a "better" life;

-More happiness

-More money

-More freedom

-More respect

-A promotion

... the list goes on.

What we are blinded to by this mentality and approach to our lifestyles is that by doing MORE we;

- Decrease our overall deep health

- Increase stress / stressors

- Have more responsibilities

- Have less freedom

- Let others down

- Let ourselves down

- Create false expectations of ourselves

Whatever happened to the old saying "LESS IS MORE" ????? Well, it still exists and it still is VERY MUCH TRUE when it comes to our health and quality of life.

The most powerful thing we ARE NOT doing for our health and quality of life:

SLOW DOWN !!!!!

If we don't stop bombarding our schedules (weeks, days and months) with SO MUCH STUFF, we will NEVER have the ability to lead healthier lifestyles and enjoy quality of life. Irregardless of whether your calendar is full of GOOD stuff or BAD stuff - It's still FULL OF STUFF! That's the issue.

STOP filling every bit of free time you have with something (places to go, people to see, things to do).

STOP taking on MORE - especially when you're already feeling crunched for time & energy.

STOP saying "YES" to everything that comes your way (good or bad).

STOP over-committing to the point where you FORGET what it is you're supposed to be doing or where you're supposed to be when.

WE CAN'T DO EVERYTHING.

WE CAN'T BE EVERYTHING FOR EVERYONE.

WE CAN DO BETTER FOR OURSELVES & OUR HEALTH.

START spreading out your commitments. Find YOUR sweet spot (an amount you can control, feel good inside and out and not forget about what you're doing / when you're doing it).

START saying "NO" to things. It's a powerful word that DOES NOT make you an a#$hole.

START practicing simplicity. Slowing down daily helps build THAT practice. Constantly being on the go does the opposite.

START respecting your own time and that of others. Overcommitting yourself does neither.
